Dinner with darkness
Invite the darkness,
for dinner and tea.
Befriend, all suppressed in he.
Make toast, with all trauma and pain,
that hides inside, where no one can see.
These enemies live, buried deep inside.
Away from all light, is where they hide.
Feeding upon, the darkness within.
These feelings hate, the light to which you guide.
So invite them over, for dinner and tea.
Thank them, ever so gracefully.
Share your love, for the darkness inside.
For new friends, pain and trauma,
which you no longer abide.
Turn on the music, and let it play.
For it’s time to dance, after dinner on this day.
Pain and trauma, gratitude and love.
Hand in hand, they dance,
under moon and stars above.
Let them play, until fall asleep;
for this time… they won’t descend into darkest deep.
